Rivers CP Charge Officers To Ensure Zero Tolerance For Corruption, Decorates 119 Promoted Officers
The Rivers State Commissioner of Police, CP OLUGBENGA ADEPOJU has charged officers to be good ambassadors of the Command by ensuring zero tolerance for corruption.
CP Adepoju gave the charge while decorating promoted officers at the Police Officer mess in Port Harcourt.
” We are decorating officers, who have been promoted because of hard work. I thank Inspector General of Police,IGP Kayode Egbetokun for recommending the officers, the Police Service Commission for making the promotion possible.
“To who much is given, much is expected.Today we decorated 40 CPS,21 SPs, 58 DSPs .Continue to work hard,you will be promoted and celebrated.You have to put yourself in your rank in your various areas.
“You have to be more serious. Supervise your junior well, Be good ambassadors of the Police and ensure zero tolerance for corruption. Avoid a situation where men working under you will be abusing human rights, dress well and ensure you employ community Policing in where ever you find yourself.
“Know that the responsibility comes with punishment, when you are not doing the right thing. Be more serious, I believe you will continue to be promoted as you do your job. You must lead by example.m and your body language counts a lot.
“I congratulate and wish you well. I thank our well wishers, who came from far and beyond to celebrate with us.
In his vote of thanks, Chief Superintendent of Police,CSP OROK EDET who spoke onbehalf of others promotees, commended the police management and promised to be onto of their game.
“I thank the IGP for recommending us for this promotion.I thank the Police Service Commission, Chairman for the promotion, Commissioner of Police Rivers and his Management team for their support.
“We promise to be on top of our job on this level of enviable rank and also do our job very well on supervisory role” CSP Edet said.
NRN reports that 40 were promoted to Chief Superintendents of Police (CSP), 21 were promoted to Superintendent of Police (SP) and 58 promoted to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).
The Deputy Commissioner of Police Finance and Administration,DCP Samuel Erale, Deputy Commissioner of Police Operations, DCP Al-Hassan Kawu, Deputy Commissioner of Police State CIID, Port Harcourt, DCP Surajo Alhaji Lukeman, Captain A U Tijani, Naval Shipyard Port Harcourt, Some Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) and Tactical units Commanders were all in attendance.
