ONELGA GROUP, OCI CONGRATULATES NEW COUNCIL CHAIRMAN, ISAAC UMEJURU
A socio-political group in Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni LGA known as ONELGA Connect Initiative (OCI), promoting good governance in ONELGA and Rivers State in general has extended its heartfelt congratulatory messages to newly sworn-in Chairman of Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni LGA, Hon Prince Isaac Umejuru and his Deputy, Lady Heoma Sarah Nwokocha-Izidor as well as the seventeen councillors of the area for their victory at the Local Government election and subsequent swearing in ceremonies.
In a press statement made available to BraveNews and signed by the group’s Chairman, Sir Izidor Nwokocha PhD, ONELGA Connect Initiative appreciates the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara for his irrevocable decision to go on with the election, despite all distractions.
The organisation further extends commendation to the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) for conducting free, fair, credible and peaceful elections across the 23 LGAs of the state.
The OCI also showered praises to all political parties that participated in the election for the peaceful deposition exhibited throughout the period of the election.
The organisation therefore call on all indigenes of Rivers State to join hands with the governor to ensure that the Council chairmen and councillors under the administration have a peaceful working environment.
OCI is further calling on the people of ONELGA to support the Chairman, Hon Prince Isaac Umejuru and his Deputy Lady Heoma Sarah Nwokocha-Izidor and the 17 councillors to manage the affairs of governance in the Local Government Area.
