LG Poll: PDP Backs Sir Allwell Ihunda for Re-Election Over First Tenure Achievements – Hon. Chukwuemeka Aaron

It was a political carnival in Orogbum, Port Harcourt, as Sir Allwell Ihunda DSSRS, JP pulled an unprecedented crowd in what has been described as the biggest mayoral campaign rally in PHALGA history.
The grand finale turned into a festival of love, unity, and political strength as thousands of residents from all 20 Wards in Port Harcourt, especially Ward 2 and Ward 18 flooded the venue to declare total support for the PDP and its candidates ahead of the August 30th LGA polls.
Representing the FCT Minister, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, the Rivers State PDP Chairman, Hon. Chukwuemeka Aaron, told the cheering crowd that Sir Allwell Ihunda’s impeccable first tenure performance has already secured him a second term mandate.
He declared that Port Harcourt people have every reason to vote for PDP again.
“Sir Allwell Ihunda has performed excellently. His return ticket is not in doubt, and the people of Port Harcourt will speak loudly on Saturday by re-electing him,” Aaron said.
The campaign was also seen as a show that Wike remains firmly in charge of Port Harcourt politics, with PDP demonstrating grassroots dominance and unmatched mobilization capacity.
Sir Allwell Ihunda, visibly energized by the massive turnout, promised to deepen his developmental strides, focusing on ‘stomuch’ infrastructure, healthcare, education, and security in his second term.
With the momentum at its peak, many political observers say the August 30th polls in PHALGA already look like a done deal for the PDP.
